Take advantage of hands-on learning
BACT offers exciting opportunities for individuals, student groups, and corporate groups to work outdoors and make a difference in our community and the environment. No experience is necessary!
Participating in work days provides opportunities to:
- Learn about native landscape restoration
- Gain valuable experience working in the field while building a resume and/or college application
- Make a positive difference in the natural world
- participate in a fun, team building exercise.
Adult and student groups are encouraged to adopt-a-work day. Bringing friends from your work place, school, club, or congregation makes a day outdoors not only more productive, but a lot more fun! To adopt-a-work day with your group, please contact Emily at (847) 387-3149 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note: Volunteers under the age of 18 need to have a parent/guardian fill out the online Liability Waiver form prior to attending all work days.
Outdoor workday events will be cancelled if weather is inclement. Please watch for updates on our home page if weather is questionable. We will also post an alternate workday if applicable.
