Karen Yancey Becomes New BACT Executive Director

In April 2010, Karen Yancey was hired as the new Executive Director for Barrington Area Conservation Trust. A Barrington resident for 24 years, she has been involved with various conservation organizations and initiated a land trust effort on Washington Island, Wisconsin, where her family owns a summer cabin. She also has a business and writing background through positions at Baxter International and the Chicago Tribune.
